Network Security Article on AMTSO

A few months ago, Elsevier’s Network Security newsletter commissioned an article on AMTSO and testing. (From me, not from AMTSO itself: this shouldn’t be regarded as an “official” AMTSO publication.) The article appeared in the January edition, and the stand-alone article as published can be purchased from Elsevier at this URL: AMTSO: the Test of Time?

The version here, however, is a pre-print copy (no editing/formatting, no graphics) of the article published in Network Security Volume 2012, Issue 1, Pages 1-20 (January 2012). Copyright on the article belongs to Elsevier, but this version is made available within the terms of the publishing agreement for purely scholarly purposes.

The article looks at the present state of the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization. Can AMTSO really continue to build on its achievements so far?
